Privacy Policy

This policy describes how WebWatch (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the website and apps available at https://webwatch.info (the “Service”).

1. Who we are

The Service is operated in connection with the domain webwatch.info. For privacy requests, contact us at privacy@webwatch.info .

2. Information we collect

2.1 Account and authentication

If you sign in with Google, we receive information from Google as part of that flow (for example an identifier for your Google account, and where available your name, email address, and profile image). We use this to create and secure your account and to show you who is signed in.

2.2 Content you provide

We store the questions, topics, tags, and related text you submit for monitoring, along with status and timestamps associated with your tracked items.

2.3 Findings and automated processing

When the Service checks public web sources or uses configured tools (including optional AI-assisted steps), we may store summaries, excerpts, links, or other “findings” generated for your tracked items to show what changed or what was found.

2.4 Technical data

We collect typical technical information needed to run a web service: for example IP address, browser or app identifiers sent with requests, cookies (see below), and server logs used for security and debugging.

3. How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • To authenticate you and keep your session secure.
  • To run scheduled checks and optional AI-assisted review related to your monitored topics.
  • To communicate operational messages when necessary (for example account or security issues).
  • To comply with law, enforce our Terms , and protect rights and safety.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies or similar storage for sign-in sessions and related security (for example OAuth state). You can control cookies through your browser; disabling essential cookies may prevent sign-in from working.

5. Third parties

We rely on service providers and platforms as needed to operate the Service, including for example:

  • Google, for Sign in with Google and, where configured, for Google APIs used by the Service (such as AI or search-related features).
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that store or process data on our behalf.

Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies as applicable. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion where applicable law allows (see “Your rights”).

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including where our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards permitted by law.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@webwatch.info . You may also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

10. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16 (or the age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
