Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of WebWatch, including the website and applications made available at https://webwatch.info (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

WebWatch helps you track topics or events you care about and periodically check public information related to those topics. The Service may use automated steps (including optional AI-assisted features when enabled) to summarise or highlight possible changes. Check frequencies, scheduling windows, and processing priority may be adjusted at any time based on traffic levels, server capacity, incidents, abuse prevention, maintenance, or other operational needs. The Service is provided on an “as available” basis and may change or be discontinued.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. You may need an account (for example via Sign in with Google). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us promptly at privacy@webwatch.info if you suspect unauthorised use.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. For example, you must not:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without authorisation.
  • Access or scrape the Service in a way that interferes with stability, security, or other users.
  • Reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law permits.
  • Use the Service to infringe others’ intellectual property or privacy.

4. Your content

You retain rights to text and information you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, process, and display Your Content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service for you (including running checks and optional AI steps you request).

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit Your Content and that it does not violate these Terms or applicable law.

5. AI, automation, and third-party information

Outputs may be generated automatically and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. You should verify important information from original sources. We do not guarantee that monitoring will capture every relevant change or that notifications will always be timely or error-free.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, its branding, and our underlying software and materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are granted to you.

7. Third-party services and links

The Service may integrate with third parties (for example Google sign-in or optional AI providers). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms. Links to third-party sites are not endorsements.

8. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law: the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law: we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for claims arising from the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or (b) zero (£0) if you did not pay fees for the Service in that period.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.

10. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims and liabilities arising from Your Content or your misuse of the Service, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or pose a risk to the Service or others. You may stop using the Service at any time.

12. Changes

We may modify the Service or these Terms. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example by posting an updated date on this page). Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections where you live that cannot be waived.
